SNAKE '97 / CHALLENGES
Unlockable achievements and gameplay statistics, added in the 2026 update. All stored on your device, all earned the hard way.
Since version 3.0 the game tracks your play and hands out 27 challenges in seven categories. Each one is earned once, stamped with the date you did it, and shown with a green checkmark on the game-over screen. Everything lives on your device.
Near-death mastery: shave past your own tail and live.
Eating prowess, one game at a time.
High-speed play at levels 10 to 12.
Cumulative distance: one block of the display is 1.6 mm.
Persistence pays.
Variety is a virtue.
The extreme achievements.
The STATS button opens a full statistics screen: your last game (duration, course corrections, near deaths, foods, distance, snake length), all-time totals, personal records, a high score per phone model and labyrinth, and your recent games.
Distances are real. One block of the original display measures 1.6 mm, so the game counts your snake's journey in actual meters (or feet, if that is how your country rolls). A full marathon of 42.195 km is the longest road in the game; the Marathon challenge is waiting for whoever walks it.
The share button on the game-over screen posts your score with a stat line, in your own language. And remember: the high score itself can never be reset. Earned is earned.
